Enterprise Solutions (ES) supports the University’s enterprise application, integration, and data management needs, in particular the Banner information system, which serves the administrative needs of all students and employees. In addition, ES provides business intelligence solutions such as reports and dashboards based on data extracted from enterprise systems and managed in a data warehouse. Finally, ES houses the teams responsible for project management and enterprise architecture for all of OIT.
In this position, you will work with technical and non-technical teams to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions for the university’s ERP application and other integrated systems, including designing, developing, and maintaining administrative application API’s and web services.
Skills and Requirements
-One year of experience in application systems design, programming and analysis
-Demonstrated experience with SQL including procedural SQL programming
-Demonstrated experience with shell programming
-Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with both technical and non-technical staff
-Ability to manage a workload that includes short and long-term projects, immediate problem-solving and ongoing product maintenance of code and documentation
-Ability to produce accurate and reliable work within deadlines
-Ability to adapt to changes in technology, revisions in project specifications and reprioritization of work assignments
-Strong work ethic
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Proven ability to work in fast-paced, production environment and to provide occasional evening and weekend support
-Proven ability to work with sensitive/confidential information and to handle such information as required by Federal, State, and OIT regulations/policies
-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
-Two or more years of experience in application systems design, programming and analysis
-Experience with Oracle tools and PL/SQL
-Experience with java, python and C programming languages
-Linux, and Linux shell programming
-Experience writing web services
-Experience with Ellucian’s Banner ERP
-Experience in a university environment
The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $55,000 and $60,000/year. This includes an excellent benefits package including 95% premium-paid healthcare for employees and family members (employees working half-time are eligible for benefits, but share the premium cost prorated based on hours worked); significantly reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse, or dependent at any of the seven Oregon public universities (details and restrictions apply); and a generous vacation and retirement package. PSU contributes approximately 13% of your compensation to retirement with no requirement for a matching contribution from employees.
