This employment opportunity is with the Public Health Division (PHD)/Center for Public Health Practice (CPHP)/Immunization Program, which is part of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). There is one permanent, full-time position located in Portland (800 NE Oregon Street). This position is represented by a union.

This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position provides leadership and expertise in the development and exercising of Oregon’s Medical Countermeasures (MCM) receipt, distribution and dispensing efforts, which includes oversight of the state’s Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Program. This position takes a systems-level approach to integrating MCM/SNS response efforts with those of local public health authorities (LPHAs), other government agencies, and community partners. This position works in close collaboration with the Oregon Immunization Program (OIP) SNS Team, the Health Security and Response Program (HSPR), and the Acute and Communicable Disease Prevention Program (ACDP). This position also serves as the state-level Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Coordinator. This position performs work throughout the state in coordination with state agencies and 36 county governments. This position serves as an emergency preparedness contact for numerous local, state and federal agencies, including the state Office of Emergency Management, Oregon State Police, Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon Department of Corrections, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Duties are performed in an environment of independence, and the position requires minimal supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or a degree related to Emergency Management; AND four years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work related to Public Health or Emergency Management.
OR;
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work related to Public Health or Emergency Management.
